After over thirty years of practice as a clinical psychologist following my graduation with honors from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I have changed my focus to life coaching. I love helping people and have enjoyed a highly diverse practice, working with people from all different backgrounds and ethnicities. I have much respect for different cultures, sexual orientations and spiritualities. I have respect for what people go through at the different life stages, and have worked with young adult issues up through older adult issues. I have seen how sincere empathy, caring and understanding are very powerful in helping people find the way to move forward. Going along with my interest in cultural-ethnic issues, I am fluent in Spanish. I personally believe that we all have life lessons and that when we learn them we move on.
Fear of the Abyss
I am the author of the best-selling book, Fear of the Abyss: Healing the Wounds of Shame and Perfectionism, which is published by Red Pill Press. It is available in both paperback and ebook formats on Amazon.com. Because so many of my clients who came for depression, anxiety, and so many other issues had shame and perfectionism at the base, I wanted to reach out globally with a book that looked at people and feelings rather than labels. The belief that the person who is in emotional pain matters more than the label of that pain perhaps describes me best. You can hear a variety of interviews in which I discuss my book and answer questions about my approach by going to the tab "Interviews and Resources."
